Questions
Before you check
Is this an approval of my label?
No. This Label Compliance Review is generated by NanoKheti's system from the notified entry of the product and the rules, as held by NanoKheti on the date of the review. NanoKheti is not authorised to approve labels. Printing the label is at the manufacturer's discretion and responsibility.
Is my label file uploaded?
No. The PDF or photo is read on your own phone or computer. Only the text read from it is sent to our server for the check; it is kept for 30 days to improve the tool, then deleted.
Which labels can I check?
227 notified biostimulants (Schedule VI of the FCO) and 192 fertilisers, biofertilisers, organic, nano and other fertilisers of the FCO, with the same entries as NanoKheti's FCO tools and label maker. Pesticide labels: use the pesticide label checklist.
PDF or photo: which is better?
The printer's PDF: its text is read exactly. A photo is read by text recognition on your device, which can miss a figure or a decimal point. That is why you see what was read and can correct it before the check.
What does the score mean?
The share of the checked items that are right, weighted 3 for critical items (a particular the law requires, or a claim it does not allow), 2 for major and 1 for minor. Green: no critical or major issue.
What is in the Rs. 69 report?
A PDF with every item checked: what is on your label, what is required, what to do and the rule; the notified entry word for word (composition, specification, crops and doses); and a GST invoice. It is e-mailed to you and can be downloaded for 48 hours.
What does the check not cover?
The type size, colours and placement of the particulars, what the QR code holds (test it free on our QR code test), and the product itself. It checks the text you confirmed: a word read wrongly and not corrected changes the result.
Does it work without any paid AI service?
Yes. The reading runs on your device with open-source readers hosted on our own server, and the check is NanoKheti's own rules, so it keeps working whatever happens to any outside service.
