More about this list
About this list
India regulates biostimulants under Schedule VI of the Fertiliser (Inorganic, Organic or Mixed) (Control) Order, 1985. Each product is notified in the Gazette with its composition, its specifications, and the crops and doses it may be sold for. Those details are spread over a dozen notifications and many PDF pages; here they are in one place, one page per product.
The list follows the latest wording: when a later order substitutes an entry or changes a crop, dose or figure, the page shows the amended text and says so. The doses of each product, word for word, with per acre and per guntha, come in its label PDF; the Gazette dose is always the controlling one.
Covers notifications up to S.O. 1574(E) of 25 Mar 2026. Checked for later Schedule VI changes on 19 October 2026. A reference consolidation by NanoKheti, not legal advice; confirm with the official notifications before labelling, licensing or buying.

Questions
How many biostimulants are notified under FCO Schedule VI?
227 product entries in 11 categories, as consolidated from the Gazette notifications up to S.O. 1574(E) of 25 Mar 2026. One serial number (Antioxidants, serial 2) has been used for two different products, so there are 226 category and serial numbers. The largest groups are mixed formulations (58), seaweed extracts (54), protein hydrolysates and amino acids (36) and humic and fulvic acids (34).
Which biostimulants were removed from Schedule VI?
S.O. 4441(E) of 29 September 2025 omitted 14 entries: 3 mixed formulations and 11 protein hydrolysates, most of them of animal source. They are listed at the end of this page and are not part of the current list.
Is this the official list?
No. NanoKheti consolidated it from the Gazette notifications so that the details are easy to find and compare, and in October 2026 read every line twice, independently, against the consolidated Order. The Gazette text is authoritative: check the notification before you label, license or buy a product.
What does a product page show?
The notified composition, the specifications (label claims) with the Part D test method for each, the notified crops, the notified dose range (per hectare and per acre), any mandatory label caution, later amendments and the notification history. The dose for each crop, word for word from the Gazette, with per acre and per guntha and suggested pack sizes, is in the product's label PDF (Rs. 49 + GST).
